Doug Hall has been named Digital Program Director for iHeart San Francisco, effective July 9. The company has six stations in the market and generates 30 podcasts locally with nearly 100 episodes each week published. Hall will report to Don Parker, Senior Vice President of Programming for iHeartMedia San Francisco.

The Bob & Tom Show has promoted radio industry veteran John Kesler to Chief Operating Officer of the nationally syndicated morning radio show. Kesler moves up from his role as General Manager for the award-winning show.

We reported back on June 18 that WGOW (Chattanooga) morning man Jeff Styles was shot after he approached a vehicle with a tomahawk in a road rage incident. Today we find out the station has put him on leave while the incident is being investigated. Here's the statement released by the station...

Long-time radio sales trainer and professional speaker Chris Lytle was recently inducted into the Wisconsin Association of Broadcasters Hall of Fame. Boston’s WBZ-FM/98.5 The Sports Hub morning personalities Toucher & Rich have been named the 2018 Best of Boston “Radio Personalities of The Year” by Boston Magazine. The winners were chosen based on the results of the publication’s 2018 Best of Boston Readers’ Poll.

Rock radio show In the Studio with Redbeard: The Stories Behind History’s Greatest Rock Bands is celebrating its 30th year of national radio syndication. The show launched the broadcast week of June 27, 1988 with rock legends Crosby, Stills & Nash as inaugural guests.

The Mark Levin Show has joined the lineup on Talk Radio 1210 WPHT (WPHT-AM) in Philadelphia. The show will air weeknights from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. ET. It has been one of the top-rated shows on talk radio.

The National Sports Media Association has named Kevin Harlan Sportscaster of the Year. Harlan, who is the play-by-play announcer for Westwood One’s Monday Night Football, received the award at the 59th NSMA Awards Banquet in Winston-Salem, NC, on June 25.

Audrey Lee has joined 98.5 KLUC (KLUC-FM) in Las Vegas as midday host, effective July 2. Music Director and on-air host Yung Jon Que will host 98.5 KLUC’s afternoon drive from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. PT, effective immediately.

Bay Area stations KOIT-FM (96.5 KOIT) and KUFX-FM (98.5 KFOX) have welcomed Karina Farias to the fold as Music Director. Farias joins the Bonneville cluster from Bryan Broadcasting in College Station, Texas
