The first group of presenters has been announced for the 2018 Edward R. Murrow Awards Gala, to be held Monday, October 22, at Gotham Hall in New York City.

The KC Armstrong Show has been picked up by Orlando Rock station BUD 94.1. After airing on JVC Long Island station 103.9 LI News for the past year, JVC has announced a syndication deal with KC Armstrong to take the show to other markets.

Radio One Atlanta and its parent company, Urban One, are teaming up with Atlanta’s Ryan “The Ryan King” Cameron for a cross-platform partnership. On Monday, November 5, Cameron will return to the airwaves on WAMJ MAJIC 107.5/97.5 during afternoon drive.

Primatologist and Anthropologist Dr. Jane Goodall is guest-hosting on Animal Radio on October 20th. Goodall is considered to be the world's foremost expert on Chimpanzees. She still tours at 84 years old, making over 300 speaking engagements yearly.

Emmis New York, which includes HOT 97, WBLS, and WLIB, has announced a slate of new sales hires at the stations. Market Manager Charlie Morgan said, “The changes to our structure and the addition of key talent to the team is evidence of our commitment to be responsive to our customers’ needs."

The duo have taken over the morning drive shift, 6-10 a.m. Monday-Friday, on Mix 94.1 (WHBC-FM) in Canton, Ohio. The show originates from Columbus, Ohio, on WNCI-FM, and also airs on WLKT, WYHT, WXZQ, KXNC, WHMJ, WXXO, WROM, WKEI, and WTBO. 

Kenneth “Ken” Holmen, M.D. is president and CEO of CentraCare Health. Now he is also a member of Minnesota Public Radio’s board of trustees. Dr. Holmen has led the St. Cloud-headquartered health system since January of 2015.

Cumulus has appointed Jack Swanson PD for KGO and KSFO in San Francisco. The legendary San Francisco programmer returns to the stations he helped build, as former PD of KGO and KSFO, where he led programming from 1994 until 2011.
