Redington of WMVY 88.7 FM, won a Massachusetts Broadcasters Association Merit Award for Spot News. The award was for a segment she produced entitled “Island Students Walk Out for Parkland.”
The segment originally aired on the Sunday morning public affairs program The Vineyard Current. It featured Martha’s Vineyard Regional High School Students talking about a student walkout, one month after the Parkland, Florida, school shooting.
Redington is the Community Outreach Director; she focuses on creating programming that benefits the community.
