New Overnight Anchor For CBS News Radio
Award-winning journalist Matt Pieper has stepped into the role. He's been a reporter for CBS News Radio since 2015. Prior to CBS News Radio, Pieper was an anchor/reporter at News 12 in New York City, where he won a 2015 Emmy Award as solo anchor for Best Daytime Newscast.
Shane To Co-Anchor “KFBK Morning News”
NewsRadio KFBK/Sacramento has named Sam Shane co-anchor/host of The KFBK Morning News. He will join co-host Cristina Mendonsa on the program.
Kristy Scott Joins Podcast Movement
Kristy Scott is the new head of sales for Podcast Movement. Scott joins the Podcast conference from RTK Media, which published the trade publication Tom Taylor NOW. She also spent 17 years at Radio & Records.
Zito Joins The Shark As APD
Jeff Zito has taken up the dual role of APD/afternoon-drive host at Tampa Bay’s WPBB-FM/ 98.7 The Shark, making the switch from another Florida Beasley station, 96K-ROCK (WRXK-FM) in Fort Myers.
Holmes Going “Up North”
Up North Radio’s Classic Hits station WBZX/Big Rapids, MI (B103.9) is about to welcome Brian Holmes for afternoons. Holmes is best known for his 10-year run as APD/night guy at WSNX in nearby Grand Rapids.
“Skylark” Rossetti Passes
The Hawaii Tribune Herald is reporting that Hawaiian broadcasting legend Jacqueline Leilani “Skylark” Rossetti died Wednesday. She was 65.
New Board Member At Salem
Salem has appointed Heather Grizzle to its Board of Directors. Grizzle succeeds Roland Hinz who retired from his position in December.
