Stewart Vanderwilt has been named the new president of Colorado Public Radio. He succeeds Max Wycisk who retires on June 30. Vanderwilt has over three decades of experience leading public radio organizations.

Mike Hartel has been named Alpha Media’s EVP of the Mid-Atlantic Region. He will oversee Columbia, SC, Fredericksburg, VA, Hagerstown-Chambersburg, PA, Bluefield, WV, Dayton, OH, and Canton, OH.

SB Nation Radio has a new morning show in its stable. Straight Heat with Patrick Creighton will launch Monday, April 9. Creighton currently co-hosts Nate and Creight weekdays in Houston on one of Gow Media’s radio stations. He has been with Gow Media for the past four years.

iHeartMedia Colorado Springs announced that Samantha Kumm has been named Market President. She will work closely with JoJo Turnbeaugh, Regional Senior Vice President of Programming, and Ryan Clune, Regional Senior Vice President of Sales.

JoAnne Purtan is the new morning show co-host for 104.3 WOMC. Purtan will join Stephen Clark on the Detroit heritage Classic Hits station beginning Monday. Before joining WOMC, Purtan worked with WXYZ-TV in Detroit for 20 years and was most recently anchor of the noon and 4:00 p.m. newscasts.
