On the heels of the mutual decision by the presidents of Pacific Lutheran University and the University of Washington to allow a community-based group to make an offer for KPLU in Seattle, SAVE KPLU has officially launched a fundraising campaign.

ABC Radio has put together a one-hour special to honor David Bowie, who died over the weekend. It's called, “Starman: Remembering David Bowie,” and it pays tribute to the legendary musician.

On February 9, 12 of the country format’s most successful songwriters will perform at Bob Kingsley's Acoustic Alley. Rhett Akins, Rodney Clawson, Ross Copperman, Andrew Dorff, Josh Kear, Shane McAnally, Heather Morgan, Tim Nichols, Josh Osborne, Jonathan Singleton, and Jimmy Yeary are all set to perform at the event. For the fifth consecutive year, Kingsley is hosting the event at the Country Radio Seminar.

Radio One's classic hip hop format in Atlanta can now be heard on both 97.5 and 102.9. Market Manager Tim Davies says the expansion was timed with the launch of the Ed Lover Show which Radio One added in Atlanta.
