It was pneumonia, a complication from his MS, that took Saul's life according to the Chicago Tribune. Saul interned at WBBM-AM then went on to become a GM of two stations near Chicago, WEEF-AM and WONX-AM.

Robert J. Lind, 62, died unexpectedly in his sleep on Monday at his home in Raleigh. Lind was a very successful broadcaster, but he also founded the radiothon division at Children's Miracle Network. In his 10 years with CMN, he and his team launched hundreds of radiothons across the U.S., Canada, and around the world.
