Alpha Media, Peoria announced that Stephanie Blue will join veteran Morning Mix host Randy Rundle on Mix 106.9 (WSWT), effective February 15. Blue has been in the radio industry for 11 years.
No Changes For Radio’s Top Advertisers
It was steady as she goes for radio's top five advertisers for the week of January 25. Walgreens held onto the top spot airing 63,506 commercials, followed by GEICO with 42,226.
Despite Snow, January Auto Sales Look Strong
J.D. Power reports that radio's largest advertising category will report a very good month to start off the year selling an average of 36,499 new-vehicles every day. The seasonally adjusted annualized rate (SAAR) for January is expected to reach 13.9 million units, up from 13.8 million in January 2015.

Access1 Sells WWRL-AM New York
The buyer is NJ Broadcasting, owned by Dr. Shukla, a pediatric physician, who also owns, 7 Days Pediatrics, located in Edison, New Jersey. Shukla is now operating the station under an LMA. The station will provide programming for the South Asian Community and it will be called “Radio Zindagi."
