Cumulus Inks Big Deal With Futuri
Futuri Media has reached an agreement with Cumulus to provide the company with four of its platforms: Listener Driven Radio, Takeover, TopicPulse social media monitoring, and TopLine sales research. The technology will be implemented in 27 of Cumulus’ largest markets with additional markets and stations to follow.

It's called The Grammy Fund for Music Creators and it's a Political Action Committee just put together by the Recording Academy and announced yesterday. In a blog post about the new PAC Daryl Friedman, chief industry, government and members relations officer for the Recording Academy, said "Broadcasters, tech companies and other large corporations are pocketing the profits from music, while music creators don’t always receive fair compensation for their work."

Country Dan Dixon Dead At 67
Dixon was known as "The Truckers Friend" on XM Channel 10 "America" from the sat-caster's first days on the air. In 2007, when Sirius and XM merged, Dan was one of many cut and the channel eliminated. Prior to his years on satellite radio, Dixon worked at WSDS Ypsilanti, MI, WNRS Ann Arbor, MI, WKCQ Saginaw, CKLW-FM Windsor, Ont., WDEE and WCXI Detroit, plus WTOD-AM and WKKO (K-100) Toledo.
