GatesAir plans to augment its 2016 NAB Show exhibition presence with a series of educational presentations, and its second annual GatesAir Connect NAB customer event. The efforts will focus on education and interactive discussions involving the current and future over-the-air broadcast landscape, covering both business- and technology-related topics.

Arena football team the Philadelphia Soul announced that all remaining 2016 games will be broadcast live on 97.5 The Fanatic. Broadcasts will also include many special guests, including Soul owners Ron Jaworski, Dick Vermeil, Marques Colston, Jahri Evans, and many other current and former NFL stars.

Cumulus has promoted Chris Kenney to VP/Market Manager for the company's five-station cluster in Wilkes-Barre, replacing Gerald Getz. Kenney was previously GSM for Cumulus in Harrisburg and Sales Manager for Cumulus Wilkes-Barre.

iHeartMedia Louisville announced Thursday that, after 18 years with NewsRadio 840 WHAS, Program Director Kelly Carls, will retire in August. Carls joined WHAS in April of 1998 as the Program Director.

WXZZ Lexington PD and Morning Driver Anthony “Twitch” Longo becomes Operations Manager for Cumulus' five-station cluster in that market. Longo has been with WXZZ for 12 years hosting mornings.

89.3 WFPL News, Louisville, has made two new hires in its newsroom. Jonese Franklin (pictured) will join the newsroom as Digital Editor, where she will oversee WFPL’s digital news and social media operations. WFPL has also hired Roxanne L. Scott as Economy Reporter, a new area of focus for the newsroom.

WSOU inducted Bernie Wagenblast ’78 and Bob Picozzi ’72 into its Hall of Fame and presented a new award – the WSOU Distinguished Young Alumna – to Stephanie Wightman ‘08. Honorees will be inducted on Thursday April 14. Ceremonies will be held in the fourth floor atrium of Seton Hall University’s Jubilee Hall at 7 p.m.

Daniel Anstandig's Futuri Media has acquired StreamOn, a company that specializes in streaming, podcasting, and social media for radio. StreamOn co-founder Andrew Snook becomes VP of Streaming Systems at Futuri. The terms of the deal were not announced.

iHeartMedia announced Thursday the full line-up for its Daytime Village at the 2016 iHeartRadio Music Festival. The Daytime Village will return to the Las Vegas Village across from the Luxor Hotel and Casino on Saturday, September 24, ­ between the two nights of the sixth annual iHeartRadio Music Festival in Las Vegas on September 23 and 24.
