Media Service Group's Bill Whitley tells us Central Arkansas Radio Group is buying KLAZ-FM, KYRC-FM, KHRK-FM, and KBHS-AM in Hot Springs, Arkansas. The seller is Noalmark Broadcasting Corporation headed by William Nolan.

Westwood One makes the announcement that country artist Terri Clark will begin hosting the four-hour Classic Country show Country Gold, beginning the weekend of April 9-10, 2016. She takes over for Randy Owen who has hosted the show for the past four years. Most recently, Clark was co-host on America’s Morning Show with Blair Garner. Country Gold airs on more than 100 stations.

Liberman Broadcasting in Houston is selling regional Mexican KCOH-AM to Roberta Ramirez's Pueblo de Galilea for $1.8 million in cash. At the present time, the station is simulcasting the format from a Liberman FM. Pueblo will most likely flip it to either Spanish religion or brokered programming. John Saunders was the broker that represented Pueblo de Galilea on the deal.

Radio Express is partnering with The Interview Factory to distribute Country Mailbag, a 60-second daily feature, to U.S. and international radio stations. Each installment of the feature spotlights a different country artist every day, who responds to questions submitted by listeners.

The name of the new product is "SAM" and it stands for Sentiment Analysis Module. SAM is a research tool that analyzes written feedback and comments from listeners and presents those findings in an in-depth report for stations.

The station will be called 97.3 PLAY and will feature a mix of today’s contemporary hits and classics from 2000 through today. The station starts off with 10,000 songs in a row.
