Entercom CEO David Field says he expects that to pick up as we get closer to the general election, which is no different than how it comes in during every political cycle. CFO Steve Fisher reported that Entercom took in $800,000 in political revenue during the first quarter, compared to $100,000 a year ago.

From Providence To Cincinnati For Demay

Brian Demay is the new PD at Cumulus' AC-formatted WRRM-FM/Warm 98 in Cincinnati. Demay joins WRRM from Providence, where he was PD for Cumulus' WWLI-FM/Lite Rock 105 for over three years. He was also host of Afternoon Drive on WWLI-FM, and continues as a syndicated Afternoon Personality for Westwood One. Demay replaces Greg Dunkin.

Radio earnings season is underway and Entercom reported its Q1 revenue Monday morning and got radio off to an incredible start. Entercom CEO David Field said Entercom started the year off on a great note, delivering an outstanding first quarter. Same-station revenue was up 6% for the quarter. Q2 is pacing up 4% on a same-station basis.
