Taylor & Vlazny Named APSs for KBLX-FM & KRBQ-FM
Kimmie Taylor and Joey “Joey V” Vlazny have been named the new Assistant Program Directors for KBLX-FM 102.9 and KRBQ-FM 102.1, respectively. Taylor (pictured) started her career at KBLX-FM in 2000. Currently, she is a co-host on The Morning Dream Team.
Saga Q1 Revenue Increase 6.3%
That's on a same-station basis and when you add in the recent purchase of WLVQ-FM in Columbus, which Saga began operating in November of 2015, the radio revenue increase jumps to 13.1%. After 30 years with iHeartMedia's Y94FM in Syracuse, on-air personality Kathy Rowe has been let go. Syracuse.com reports that Rowe is a casualty of the latest round of layoffs by iHeart.
After 33 Years Larry Price Is Calling It A Career
The Perry & Price Morning Show has been running on Honolulu's KSSK for 33 years but one half of the duo is hanging up his headphones. The Pacific Business News is reporting that Larry Price will now pursue other interests, including a new sports show on KSSK’s sister station FOX Sports 990.
Lund To Co-Host Afternoon’s At KNBR
Popular Bay Area sports talk radio personality John Lund has signed on as co-host of KNBR 680’s Afternoon Drive show. Lund will partner up with the recently signed Tom Tolbert in the 3-7 p.m. time slot.
Emmis Q4 Revenue Down 6%
Emmis' fourth quarter includes December, January, and February, and CEO Jeff Smulyan reported revenue was down 6% to $36.4 million from $38.8 one year earlier. For the full year, radio revenues were $169.2 million, compared to $176.3 million in the prior year, a decrease of 4%.

WDJX Host Alex Clark Searches For Love In New Reality Show
Alpha Media's WDJX in Louisville now has a reality show star. Alex Clark, co-host for the Ben Davis and Kelly K show and middays on Louisville’s 997 DJX, has a new show premiering on May 17. Twelve women will begin their search for the one thing missing from their lives – love – on the series premiere of Coupled airing Tuesday, May 17 (9-10 p.m. ET/PT) on FOX.
Big First Quarter Interest Payments For iHeart
CFO Rich Bressler (pictured) and Senior Vice President and Treasurer Brian Coleman reported to investors that iHeartMedia's total debt remains at $20.7 billion. That's basically the same as the final debt total at the end of 2015. The company has $979 million on hand and the largest use of cash in Q1 was interest on the company's debt. iHeartMedia paid $549 million in interest.
