In a memo to the Salem staff, Broadcast Media President David Santrella announced the retirement of Philadelphia Market Manager Russ Whitnah after 23 years at the helm in that city.

Mike Maloney is now the D.O.S. for Entercom's cluster in Portland, OR. Since April 2016 Maloney was part of the team that launched the Portland division of Entercom’s Smart Reach Digital.

In another attempt to deal with its debt, iHeart is asking senior debtholders to allow the company the flexibility to increase its debt - in the future if it chooses to - by $500 million to $17.3 billion. That's according to the latest holiday sales forecast from eMarketer. The research firm says total retail sales will increase 3.3% to $884.50 billion and holiday retail e-commerce sales will jump to $94.71 billion.
