Bidding Over The Airwaves Brings Big Bucks For United Way
Nothing like a good auction to get the blood pumping and the dollars flowing. On Friday, March 3 WHCU (Ithaca, NY) Morning Newswatch host Lee Rayburn auctioned off a different restaurant and wine pairing every hour to listeners. The auction raised $5,030 in 12 hours (6 a.m. to 6 p.m.).
iHeart Gets Creative With Snapchat
iHeartmedia continues to show how it's hip with the times when it comes to using the latest social media platforms. This past weekend at the iHeartRadio Music Awards, winners of several award categories were announced using Snapchat. Artists that could not make it to the show snapped 10-second acceptance speeches. The Breakfast Club will broadcast from 6 -10 a.m. on Power 107.7, and Steve Harvey will broadcast from 6 – 10 a.m. on 96.3 Kiss. The Fattz and Cher Morning Show will now broadcast on weekdays from 3 - 7 p.m. on 96.3 Kiss FM.
