iHeart And Rays Announce “Bats N’ Brews Show”
The new show will air live during all 13 Tampa Bay Rays home games on Friday nights at Tropicana Field. The program will be hosted by iHeartMedia Tampa personalities Scotty Davis, Jay Recher, and Molly Giduz from the DraftKings Deck in center field at Tropicana Field. The program will also stream on Facebook Live.

Alt Rock Out, Oldies Back In Youngstown
Cumulus makes the flip on WWIZ-FM in the Ohio market. The new Oldies station is called "Z104, The Valley’s Good Time Oldies." The station was Alternative Rocker “ROCK 104.” Cumulus says, "Z104 fills the void left for Oldies lovers by iHeartMedia, when it flipped its former Youngstown Oldies station to Country last April."
iHeart Launches Country Standalone On West Palm Translator
The new station is called WAVE and will be broadcast on an FM translator that can be heard at 93.3 in the West Palm Beach market. Previously, the translator was carrying a simulcast of iHeart's over-the-air Country station called WAVE 92.7, but it will now have its own breaks, contests, and commercials, and Bobby Bones in the morning.

Prometheus Wants to Stop The FM Translator Movement
The Prometheus Radio Project has petitioned the Federal Communications Commission to issue an emergency partial stay regarding the Commission's plan to make a change in the rules that, instead of limiting FM translators to the areas where their 1 mv/m contour does not extend beyond the lesser of the AM station’s 2 mv/m contour or a circle 25 miles from the AM station, the translator can operate in any area where its contour does not extend the 1 mv/m beyond the greater of the 2 mv/m contour or 25 mile circle.
Martin Moves Up With iHeart
Derrick Martin is iHeart's new St. Louis Region President overseeing 33 radio stations. That puts Martin in charge of all of iHeart's brands in Des Moines, Cedar Rapids/Iowa City and Davenport, Iowa, and St. Louis and Springfield, Missouri. He'll report to Tom McConnell, President of the Midwest/Southeast Division for iHeartMedia.
$2.6 Billion Worth Of Radio Deals In Q1
That's according to the latest data from Kagan and due mostly to the Entercom/CBS merger which was announced in February. The Entercom/CBS Radio Reverse Morris Trust tax-free transaction is valued at $2.86 billion. Kagan says at a 7X forward seller’s multiple, the 29 AM and 88 FM stations account for $2.5 billion, making this the largest radio transaction since 2006.
Cumulus Has A New Memphis Manager
Morgan Bohannon is the new VP/Market Manager for Cumulus' four-station group in Memphis. He replaces Alan Kirshbom, who left four months ago to go back to Austin for family reasons. Bohannon joins Cumulus s from iHeartMedia where he was Area President in Memphis. Bohannon worked for iHeart and Clear Channel for over 20 years.
