Mid-West Family Broadcasting in Springfield is partnering with Sinclair Broadcasting's TV stations to raise funds and supplies for victims of Hurricane Harvey in Texas and the Gulf Coast region.

Beasley Stations Latest With Harvey Help

Beasley’s B103.9, 96KRock, and Sunny 106.3 will be partnering with the local chapter of the American Red Cross to collect donations during a special “MUSICTHON” to benefit those impacted by Hurricane Harvey. Beginning at 6 a.m. the stations will broadcast live and stay on the air to play special song requests for donations.

Presslaff Interactive Sold To Second Street

Ruth Presslaff's e-mail marketing company has been purchased by Second Street, a company that provides private-label online audience engagement and interactive content platforms to media companies, including contesting, quizzes, ballots, polls, and e-mail communications. WBSM.com/New Bedford, MA is reporting the passing of local radio legend Stan Lipp who died Monday in Florida at 89. Lipp hosted the popular WBSM talk show Open Line from 1964 to 2001. He was also very involved in the community, hosting annual drives such as “Quarters for Christmas,” which would raise money to help out families in need during the holidays.
