CBS Sports Radio announced its upcoming schedule of live weekend programming focused on football season, Thursday. Shows will give listeners the latest news and coverage of NFL, college, and fantasy football games throughout the upcoming 2017 regular season.

More big news on the Radio Show: Multi-platinum and Grammy-nominated performer Demi Lovato is set to headline the 2017 Radio Show’s Music & Mimosas event on Friday, September 8, in Austin. The 2017 Radio Show will be held September 5-8 at the JW Marriott in Austin.

Sun Broadcast Group and Jett Media have entered into a partnership bringing the country music mix show, Country Fried Mix with DJ Sinister, to the network. The show is the brainchild of music producer Charlie Pennachio, and national touring artist and producer DJ Sinister. The show runs on Friday or Saturday night, serving up back-to-back country hits, mashed up and remixed.

Amy Bolton has been hired by CBS News Radio to manage affiliate sales. The company says following the recent agreement between CBS News Radio and Skyview Networks, CBS News Radio has hired the 30-year network executive to spearhead CBS News Radio’s drive to enlist the hundreds of current CBS News Radio affiliates for its new in-house affiliation network.

Dawn Santolucito has been promoted to Music and Marketing Director at Country 102.5 in Boston. In her new role, Santolucito will continue her oversight of the marketing/promotions department, but will now also help lead the charge on the music side for Country 102.5.

Although it's not a big percentage of the Townsquare revenue pie, CEO Steven Price made a point to use the word "drag," when describing the contribution national business made to Townsquare's revenue in Q2. It's something we've heard on several occasions during Q2 earnings calls.

Stephen Hubbard will be ABC’s Country Producer and Reporter based in Nashville, reporting primarily for ABC Radio but also supporting all ABC News platforms. Hubbard has contributed country content to ABC Radio since 2010, and most recently was a producer at ABC-TV affiliate WKRN.

Jackie Paige is the new midday personality for Radio One's Urban Mainstream iPower 92.1/104.1. Paige is moving to the Richmond station from WIKS 101.9 Kiss FM in New Bern, North Carolina, where she also held the midday time slot.

Townsquare CEO Steven Price didn't want to call the company's obstacle course race a fad, but he came pretty close. The event the company launched to great success in 2014 is coming to the end of its life cycle, and that's pretty typical of an obstacle course race.
