FCC Chairman Ajit Pai and Commissioner Mignon Clyburn paid a visit to iHeartMedia's WIOD. Pai and Clyburn were in Miami for a post-Irma tour and were interviewed on WIOD by Enrique Santos and Jimmy Cefalo. Excerpts from the interview can be heard Tuesday morning on Cefalo's show and will run in its entirety at 10:06 a.m.

The company is accusing former Richmond part-timer Amir Shabazz of taking over the account belonging to iPower Richmond (WCDX-FM), changing the station's username and password, and preventing the radio station from being able to use the account.

The Broadcasters Foundation of America raised the money to help broadcasters in need during the golf tournament last week in Briarcliff Manor, NY. Las Vegas Radio Hall of Fame inductee Connie Breeze has joined veteran hip hop radio host Greg Mack and his revamped five-hour classic hip hop weekend radio program, The Greg Mack Show. Over her career, Breeze has worked as an assistant PD, an MD, and a highly rated afternoon personality.

Cox Media Group Orlando Market Manager Paul Curran (left) and Houston Market Manager Mark Krieschen have teamed up to write a column saluting broadcasters in both states following hurricanes Harvey and Irma. In the column, the two managers write, "Trusted TV and Radio brands and personalities were what people needed and the local broadcasters of Texas and Florida were there for them at every turn."

The streaming music service is being purchased by the live music network LiveXLive Media in a deal worth $50 million in cash and stock. LiveXLive says it plans to use Slacker Radio's music service to complement its existing video programming.
