Commissioner Jessica Rosenworcel is not in favor of Chairman Pai's plan to eliminate some of the media ownership rules now on the books. Cumulus Expects Flat To Slightly Up Revenue

It's not really something we normally see from a radio company. On Thursday, Cumulus pre-released earnings and expects revenue in the range of $286 to $288 million for the third quarter of 2017. Revenue was $286 million in Q3 of 2016 and $289 million in Q3 of 2015. Final earnings will be released on November 9. Here's what the Cumulus CEO had to say about the quarter.

That's what The Sporting News is reporting. Michael McCarthy writes that up to 40-60 more positions could be eliminated at the sports network, including some on the radio side. Earlier this year ESPN eliminated 100 positions. McCarthy quotes a source saying, "This time it won't matter if you're 'liked' or not. It's not going to be pretty."
