WGN Radio has announced its fifth class in the 2018 Walk of Fame. The 2018 class is: Pierre Andre, David Kaplan, Chuck Swirsky, Roger Triemstra, and Mary Van De Velde. The inductees will be celebrated in a ceremony and live broadcast from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on Friday, May 18.

...Or is it Buzz? Kevin Klein, who begins hosting mornings on 97.3 The Game in San Diego Thursday, sent out a tweet that included a picture of the Coronado bridge, followed by:  “JUMP … to a new morning show." And that has some in the San Diego community outraged.

Chad Pitt is set join WMGF/Magic 107.7’s Magic Morning Show on April 2. The Magic Morning Show with Chad and Leslye will broadcast weekdays, 5-10 a.m. Pitt joins WMGF from 101.9 AMP Radio, where he most recently served as the morning show co-host.

Not only is the team asking Entercom to apologize for new host Kevin Klein's tweet -- using the picture of a San Diego bridge to ask listeners to "jump" to a new station -- they are also voicing their displeasure with the station's new format. And, it's being reported they are considering canceling their deal with Entercom.

Josh Cohan has been promoted to Manager of Digital Audio. Since joining ABC News as an intern more than 10 years ago, Cohan has assumed increasing responsibilities in news and sports programming. He will report to Andrew Kalb.

Cumulus Media and iHeartMedia together operate nearly 1,300 radio stations across the country -- a little more than 10 percent of the commercial radio industry in the U.S. Well, something is terribly wrong -- but it’s not about the radio business.

The 244 first-time exhibitors will join a wide variety of exhibiting veterans on the nearly one million net square feet of space that make up the NAB Show exhibit floor. NAB Show will be held April 7-12 (exhibits April 9-12) in Las Vegas.

iHeartMedia Albany’s Fox Sports 980, Albany’s Sports Radio, announced today the continuation of their broadcast agreement with the Boston Red Sox through the 2020 season. FOX Sports 980 has been the Capital Region’s official Red Sox affiliate since 2012.
