The latest 10-day Radio Talent Institute is being held at The University of Tennessee Knoxville. Students from 4 different universities will meet and learn from Patrick Communications, Midwest Communications, Stonecom Radio, Entercom, Cumulus, Scripps, 5 Star Radio/Saga Communications, Cromwell Communications and Thunderbolt Broadcasting.

The trial was supposed to start today and has now been pushed back to Monday July 23, according to a new court filing. The filing also says the case is expected to take seven days. Bubba The Love Sponge (Todd Clem) is accused of ratings tampering by Nielsen by making contact with at least one PPM panelist.

NAB executive committee elections took place last week at the NAB Board of Directors meeting, in Washington, D.C. Beasley Media Group CEO Caroline Beasley was unanimously re-elected Joint Board chair while CMG President Kim Guthrie was re-elected to the Radio Board's major group representative seat.

iHeartMedia has promoted Kavi Halemane to Executive VP/GM of Digital Programming for iHeartRadio. Halemane will be responsible for overseeing iHeart’s Original Digital Music Station Programming, On-Demand Subscription Playlist, and Free Playlist Radio curation and Podcast Programming.
