iHeartMedia Chicago announced Wednesday the debut of a new Christmas station in Chicago. 93.9 LITE FM, “The Best Variety From the 80s, 90s and Now for Chicago,” is now broadcasting around-the-clock Christmas music.

Country star Jason Aldean will be a featured speaker at the Country Radio Seminar. "Jason Aldean: Overcoming Obstacles" will take place Friday, February 15 at 3 p.m. CT. The discussion will feature the entertainer recalling the path that's taken him to the top.

Digital, digital, digital. That's all we've been hearing about for the past few years as radio's advertising growth stagnates, unless it's a political year of course. Google and Facebook are taking our local revenue dollars, so bring on more consolidation is the latest cry. Townsquare may be throwing a little cold water on that argument.

And CEO David Field said the numbers came in exactly where he expected. He's consistently stated that the company would be a stronger performer in the back half of 2018 and Q4 is pacing up 4%.

Including all divisions (radio, digital, and events) Townsquare's pro-forma revenue was up less than 1%. When live events revenue is backed out, which then leaves radio and digital, net revenue was up 7.3% in the quarter.
