Consumers Still Turn To TV For News
The Pew Research Center is out with its latest study on how Americans consume news. 47% of Americans prefer watching the news rather than reading (34%) or listening (19%) to it. Radio is up slightly from Pew's 2016 study.
Denver Listeners Decide Song Is Not Offensive

Mohn Stepping Down As NPR Boss
NPR President and CEO Jarl Mohn announced on Tuesday that he will be stepping down when his five-year contract expires on June 30, 2019. Mohr will be given the title of President Emeritus.

Chubb Rock Afternoons with SiMan Baby, a daily show hosted by Hip Hop icon Chubb Rock and Atlanta radio legend SiMan Baby, is going into syndication. The Atlanta-based, four-hour PM-drive program will air live via XDS Monday-Friday, 3 p.m.-7 p.m. ET.
Foundation Launches Year-End Appeal
The Broadcasters Foundation of America has launched its annual year-end appeal for tax-deductible personal donations to the Guardian Fund and corporate contributions to the Angel Initiative. The drive asks broadcasters to give back with a personal or corporate donation.
