He was the host of the "KGO Morning News" in San Francisco for over three decades. As The San Francisco Chronicle reports, during his early days on the air, Dunbar survived an assassination attempt thanks to bullet proof glass at the station. Dunbar was 89.

Khary Sharpe has been named General Sales Manager for Philadelphia stations Power 99 and 105.3 WDAS FM. Sharpe joins iHeart from Entercom Philadelphia, where he most recently served as the Digital Sales Specialist for three stations.

Univision New York has made lineup changes at Hispanic stations LA X 96.3FM and 1280 WADO-AM, two of the most popular stations on the Uforia Audio Network. Listeners nationwide can tune-in to the stations using the Uforia app.


Radio was represented well by WTOP, iHeartMedia and other radio companies in the 2019 Regional Edward R. Murrow awards, which were announced Tuesday. The awards were given for breaking news, continuing coverage, investigative reporting and overall excellence. Combined, WTOP and iHeart took home 18.

Seattle morning show duo BJ Shea and Steve Migs have signed a contract extension which will see the duo remain as co-hosts of BJ & Migs on KISW-FM. Shea and Migs joined the station in 2006.
