United Stations Radio Networks has renewed its arrangement to distribute the daily comedic feature known as Carmen Calls, as well as its companion weekend day-part program, Sabado Picante.
Nielsen, CMG Sign New Deal
The ratings firm and Cox Media Group have signed a multi-year renewal agreement for both radio and TV measurement. The agreement covers all CMG radio and television stations as well as CoxReps and Videa.

The 46-year radio voice of the Cincinnati Reds, Marty Brennaman, is gearing up to broadcast his last season. The 76-year old started with the team in 1974 covering World Series Championships in 1975, 1976 and 1990.
Cathy Hughes To Enter NAB Hall Of Fame
Hughes, the founder and Chairperson of Urban One, will be inducted into the National Association of Broadcasters Broadcasting Hall of Fame at the 2019 NAB Show. The induction will be held April 8 at the Encore in Las Vegas. In 2016 Radio Ink honored Hughes with its Lifetime Leadership award.

Ken Burns Produces Country Music Documentary
Writer and producer Dayton Duncan of the new 16-hour country music documentary that will premiere on PBS this fall, will appear as part of CRS's 50th Anniversary keynote event. Ken Burns, who directed the film, cut a taped intro piece which will be followed by Duncan discussing the film.
