And The 2019 BMI Founders Award Goes To…

Columbia University student Bekah Mulberg, who was presented with the award at the 44th annual Conclave Learning Conference in Minneapolis this week. The BMI Founders Award is an annual internship program open to radio students nationwide. The award commemorates the group of radio leaders who founded BMI in 1939.

The program recognizes a student with the potential to become an innovator in the rapidly changing field of broadcast radio. A 4-6 week paid internship with a major U.S. broadcasting corporation is awarded for the best original essay response submitted to the competition.

This year’s program is in partnership with Beasley Media Group Philadelphia, where Bekah will be interning this summer.
