All radio eyes are on Cumulus this week as a 30-day deadline approaches before the company possibly goes into an "Event of Default." Friday is the end of the 30 days that was set into motion on November 1 when the company decided not to make a $23.6 million interest payment on 7.75% senior notes due in 2019.

New Licensing Head Hired at ASCAP

ASCAP has appointed Stephanie Ruyle as EVP and Head of Licensing. She'll replace Vincent Candilora wo's retiring. Ruyle will be responsible for ASCAP’s licensing revenues and operations across all platforms including broadcast and cable TV, terrestrial and satellite radio, digital, concerts, venues, retail, restaurants, bars and background music.

Hall Leaves Univision For LBI

Spanish-language broadcaster LBI Media has appointed Jason Hall as SVP for national sales. The 20-year television sales executive will lead the company’s TV, radio, and digital sales. Hall moves to LBI with 17 years experience at Univision, where he was VP of advertising sales. Hall will be based in the company’s New York City office.

Changes, Promotions at Westwood. Steve Shaw Leaving

Westwood One announced several management changes on Monday. Bryan Forbes has been appointed President of Sales, replacing Steve Shaw. Forbes joins Westwood from the Katz Radio Group, where he was SVP and GM of National Sales. Westwood says Shaw is retiring to pursue his life passions in Vermont.
