ASCAP has launched a redesigned version of ACE, its public repertory database. ACE ("ASCAP Clearance Express") is a searchable database that contains information relating to musical works in the ASCAP repertory of 10 million works, and is updated weekly.

FCC At Odds Over Media Ownership Rules
And that's why at least two more years will go by with very little change in the rules (as we reported HERE), even though everyone agrees the media landscape has changed and the rules are from the dark ages. FCC Chairman Thomas Wheeler and Commissioner Michael O'Rielly made it clear what the problem is when things got a tad heated between the two in front of the House Subcommittee on Communications and Technology Tuesday.
Wheeler Happy With Pirate Enforcement
FCC Chairman Thomas Wheeler told the House Subcommittee on Communications and Technology Tuesday that 91 actions have been taken so far this year against pirate radio stations. That, Wheeler says, compares to 130 actions taken all of last year. What he didn't say was how that 91 compares to how many pirate radio stations the Commission believes are in operation across the United States.
