Report: Liberty CEO Made Offer For Pandora
Could we see Pandora and SiriusXM as a team in the future? The Wall Street Journal is reporting that Liberty CEO Greg Maffei floated an offer of $15 a share to buy Pandora. Liberty controls SiriusXM with its 64% stake.
Pandora Revenue Below Expectations. Guidance Lowered.
We haven't heard that often, if at all, from Pandora executives. Pandora CEO Tim Westergren said topline revenue was slightly below expectations in Q2 due to softness in national advertising in the entertainment and telco sectors.
Pandora Lost $76 Million In Q2
In Q2, Pandora lost $76 million (before adjustments), compared to a loss of $16 million (before adjustments) in Q2 of 2015. The company expects to lose up to $200 million for the year according to Fortune.

The largest radio contingent ever converged on Cleveland this year to cover the Republican National Convention, over 160 radio shows in all. With 33 live shows, ABC was by far the biggest group.
