David Ballinger is the founder of a 2-year-old company called AnalyticOwl, which helps advertisers evaluate just how much traffic is being delivered to an advertiser’s website when that advertiser runs an over-the-air radio campaign. Yesterday we reported that CBS Radio was rolling out a new product called Airtime Analytics which is powered by AnalyticOwl. What you probably didn't know was that Ballinger was a radio non-believer. The Axe Fell At ESPN Wednesday
The expected 100 layoffs at ESPN began Wednesday as TV and radio hosts were notified of their dismissal. Ed Werder, Danny Kanell, Jayson Stark, and Trent Dilfer took to Twitter to post the news. Host Thought Man Was In His Car Before Assault
This dates back to our April 12 story when we reported iHeart Hartford morning man Joseph Aguiar was accused of assaulting a man at a gas station. According to The Hartford Courant, the 105.9 The River host told police when he left the gas station he thought the man was in his 2006 Honda Accord. Turns out the victim was sitting in his own 2008 Toyota Avalon.

NAB Says Attendance Up Over 2016
The National Association of Broadcasters announced preliminary attendance of 103,443 for the show taking place this week in Las Vegas. International attendees accounted for 26,714 of the attendees, while 1,518 people were registered with the media. 161 countries are being represented. The final 2016 attendance was 102,513 with 26,781 international attendees.
