She started with Ohana Media Group in 2024 as an Account Executive and was elevated to Local Sales Manager later that year. Beginning in September, Cat Okegawa will now serve as Vice President and General Manager of Ohana’s six Anchorage and Wasilla signals.

Okegawa will supervise programming, operations, sales, and community engagement for 92.1 Bob FM (KBBO), 92.9 KFAT, 96.3 The Moose (KXLW), Q99.7 (KMBQ), Rock 102.1 (KRAK), and KBYR‐AM.

Ohana Media Group also operates stations in northwest Oregon.

Ohana President and CEO Scott Lindahl said, “We couldn’t be more excited to be promoting Cat to her new role as Vice President and General Manager of our Alaska operation. Cat has consistently demonstrated the leadership, judgment, and commitment to local broadcasting that defines Ohana Media Group. As Local Sales Manager, Cat built strong relationships with our clients, earned the respect of our employees, and proved her ability to deliver results while strengthening our connection to the Alaska communities we serve. This promotion is both well-earned and a reflection of our confidence in Cat’s ability to lead our Alaska operations into their next chapter of growth and success.”

Okegawa added, “I am incredibly honored to take the helm of Ohana Media Group Alaska during such a dynamic time for broadcast media. By bridging gaps and breaking down departmental silos, we can better align our teams, maximize our resources, and build on the strengths of our staff. Our focus will remain fiercely local, live, and results-driven. I’m excited for what we will accomplish together.”
