Adams Radio Group's AC station in Fort Wayne, 103.9 Sunny FM (WWFW), flipped the switch on Wednesday. It's the fourth consecutive year the station has been serving up holiday music to Fort Wayne listeners.

The New b98.7’s morning team, Chadd & Kristi Thomas, will host their 17th Annual Toys for Tots Marathon Toy Drive on Friday, December 1 to benefit needy families throughout the Tampa Bay community. The duo will broadcast live and collect new, unwrapped toys from 5 a.m. – 8 p.m.

It’s the second-longest tenured NFL broadcast network features and for its 500th games it’s the Los Angeles Chargers vs. Jacksonville, this Sunday, November 12  at 1 p.m. ET.

iHeartMedia’s syndicated morning show The Breakfast Club, heard on Hip-Hop/R&B stations nationwide, announced Thursday #Change4Change, an all-day radiothon to benefit The Gathering for Justice, an organization whose mission is to eliminate racial inequalities, social injustice, and child incarceration.

iHeartMedia CFO Rich Bressler made a point to remind investors and analysts Wednesday that iHeart was still the biggest radio Kahuna on the block, despite all the recent hoopla and chatter about the Entercom CBS merger.

It wasn't much, .03%, but it was enough of an increase for iHeartMedia executives to say they kept their topline streak alive and are outperforming the radio industry in markets they operate, according to Miller Kaplan.

It's pretty much the same as it has been for quite some time, a smidge over $20 billion. Company executives would not discuss the debt situation on the Wednesday earnings call, citing ongoing negotiations to get that resolved. So, let's dig a little bit more into the numbers.

Nearly 800 listeners in Boston have signed a petition started by Boston WBZ News listener Benjamin Goodman. The website that promotes the petition states, "We are New Englanders deeply concerned that WBZ's recent acquisition by iHeartMedia is poised to undermine a critical public service to citizens who rely on WBZ for critical content."

The focus of the piece is a reminder of how crowded the roads will be during the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday travel season, and how powerful radio is at targeting those drivers all over the roads. 

On July 17, August 28, and October 4, agents from the Miami Office of the FCC’s Enforcement Bureau confirmed radio signals at 92.9 were emanating from the property of James Seitz on Rockey Dr. in West Palm Beach. The Commission previously warned Seitz back in 2013 about operating a pirate station. Seitz has 10 days to respond to the Commission and shut down his illegal operation.
