The New York Post is reporting that the team is about to switch affiliates in New York City from Cumulus owned WOR-AM to Entercom's WCBS-AM starting with the 2019 season.

The Carr fire in California recently destroyed a transmitter at NPR-affiliate KFPR in Redding and the station has been off the air for about a month now. North State Public Radio which includes KCHO 91.7 in Chico and KFPR 88.9 in Redding has studios in the Northern California cities of Redding and Chico.

101.9fm THE MIX/WTMX Chicago raised $1,042,678 for the Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago during its 19th annual fundraising efforts.

Tom Langmyer ran WTMJ (AM and FM) and WKTI-FM for the last 5 years. On Thursday he posted to Facebook that once the sale of the Scripps stations to Good Karma Broadcasting closes he'll be moving on. Steve Wexler, who now runs the radio division for Scripps, will be taking over.
