FCC Ready To Help Get You Back On The Air
Late Tuesday, the Federal Communications Commission posted a public notice to help all broadcasters get back up and running as quickly as possible after Florence (and any other storm) makes landfall. The notice is in coordination with the International Bureau, Media Bureau, Wireline Competition Bureau, and the Wireless Telecommunications Bureau. Get all the details HERE.
Is Radio Ready For Florence?
According to The Weather Underground landfalling Category 4 hurricanes are rare in the United States. There have been only 24 since 1851. Hurricane Florence is being forecast to hit the east coast later this week and will be in very select company if it manages to make landfall at Category 4 strength in North or South Carolina.
