(By Spike Santee) Very few radio companies set out to be the low cost advertising provider in their respective markets. Very few business owners we call on set out to be the low cost provider in their category either. So how come there's so much focus on promoting low price?
Radio Ad Revenue Was Strong in October
That's according to the latest figures from Standard Media Index. Overall U.S. Ad Revenue was up 7% for the month, with digital gaining 17%, TV was flat, radio was up 7%, out-of-home gained 10% and print was down 27%. October’s national ad market was also up 7% in October.

Millions of dollars is paid by advertisers and brands to ad agencies before a dollar is even spent on your radio stations - or any media. A new study released by ID Comms and the 4A's seems to indicate that, while going through that early dance with clients to get their business, advertising agencies are unclear on what the objectives and goals of those advertisers are. And they blame the advertisers.
