It appears things are starting to change even before the Entercom/CBS deal closes. Steve DiNardo, who was the Vice-President/Market Manager for the Entercom San Francisco cluster, is no longer with the company. At the time of his promotion in February of 2014, the company said, “After a nationwide search, the best choice was right in front of us."

Court Decides For iHeart

On Wednesday, an appeals court in San Antonio agreed with a lower court ruling that an intercompany stock transfer was allowed under the terms iHeartMedia's loan agreements. Creditors were disputing whether the 2015 transfer was legal and may have even triggered a default. An iHeartmedia spokesperson told Radio Ink the company was pleased with the decision.

According to Nielsen, the recent extreme weather that battered Texas and Florida provided a spike in listening for News/Talk stations. WBUR Boston Expands Reach

WBUR, Boston’s NPR news station, has installed a new antenna, which it says will expand its radio reach by 400,000 listeners across eastern and central Mass. The station increased the height of its antenna by 175 feet – the equivalent of almost 16 stories – by relocating its primary 90.9 FM antenna from a tower in Newton, to a taller tower in the neighboring town of Needham.
