
On Wednesday, Scripps announced its final batch of radio stations have officially been sold. The $8 million sale of eight stations in Boise and Tucson to Lotus has closed. Scripps has now unloaded all 34 of its radio stations for a total of $83.5 million. Net proceeds were about $55 million after tax.
The three other transactions were:
— Nineteen radio stations were sold to Summit Communications for $47 million. The stations are in Knoxville, Omaha, Springfield, Missouri, and Wichita.
— Five stations in Tulsa were sold to Griffin Communications for $12.5 million.
— Two stations in Milwaukee were sold to Good Karma Brands for $16 million.
