A Little Generous Bloodletting For Preston & Steve

Radio listeners have once again shown that they have big hearts. The 93.3 WMMR-FM (Philadelphia) Preston & Steve Show’s 13th Annual “I Bleed For Preston & Steve Blood Drive” produced 1,128 units of blood (including 147 Power Red donations) to benefit the American Red Cross Penn-Jersey Blood Services Region. In addition, the event raised over $800 for Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation for Childhood Cancer. The annual collection took place on Saturday, June 16 at the Valley Forge Casino Resort Event Center in King of Prussia, PA.

And radio listeners showed up in record numbers to help save lives during a time of the year when the American Red Cross needs it the most, as summer sets in, schools let out, and families begin vacation plans. Donors were treated to a new Preston & Steve T-shirt and an official 2018 “I Bleed For Preston & Steve” pint glass, provided by Window Nation. In addition, hundreds of donors were randomly selected to receive a pair of tickets to a summer concert, courtesy of Live Nation.

Several companies brought activities to keep children busy while their parents donated blood, including Paint-a-Treasure/Paint-N-Take Art Studio from Haddon Heights, NJ, and Aim High Studio from Fairview Village, PA.

To date, the “I Bleed For Preston & Steve Blood Drive” has collected over 14,967 pints of blood. Thank you, listeners!
