In keeping with the general benevolence of the radio industry, Scripps Media (94.7 Today’s KTTS, 104.1 KSGF, Power 96.5, and 106.7 The River) and the Springfield, MO community raised $7,151 for Hurricane Harvey victims. KTTS, KSGF, KSPW, and KRVI were at the Battlefield Mall on Wednesday, August 30, 6-9 a.m., collecting donations for Convoy of Hope, based in Springfield. Convoy of Hope is currently on the ground in Texas providing help. Listeners were able to drive through an easy drop-off to donate money for the flood victims, and receive a Krispy Kreme doughnut and a coffee from Classic Rock Coffee when they made a minimum $5 donation. A $30 donation earned two invitations to the KTTS Springfield Country Music Awards Show.
94.7 Today’s KTTS will be announcing the headline artist for the free concert on Tuesday, September 5 at 7:30 a.m. Last year, the headliner was Kelsea Ballerini with special guest Brett Young.
