A Pop programmer is going Country in East Tennessee. Matt “Brodie” Lesley is leaving South Carolina to run SummitMedia’s four-station Knoxville cluster as Brand Manager, and he will also take over the midday slot on 100.3 The Wolf (WCYQ).
Lesley most recently served as Program Director and afternoon host for iHeartMedia’s WNOK in Columbia, SC, and WWXM in Myrtle Beach, SC, since 2019. He was also selected as Music Curator for iHeartMedia CHR stations in Cincinnati, Fresno, and Austin during that time.
Lesley previously spent a decade at 95-7 The Vibe (KCHZ) in Kansas City as Assistant Program Director, Music Director, and morning host. Earlier in his career, he programmed Power 100.3 (WSEA) and Sunny 103.1 (WSYN) in Myrtle Beach, SC, and Hot 97.7 (KQLK) in Lake Charles, LA.
SummitMedia Executive Vice President of Programming John Olsen said, “Brodie is a smart programmer, an outstanding air talent, and a proven leader who knows how to build strong brands and connect with listeners. He’s a great fit for our Knoxville team, and we’re excited to have him leading these four stations while bringing his energy to middays on 100.3 The Wolf.”
Lesley added, “I’m excited to start this new chapter with SummitMedia and WCYQ and help bring great country radio to East Tennessee.”
