Hannah Storm’s career has run through NBC Sports, CNN, CBS News, and ESPN, and now the Alliance for Women in Media is crowning her with the Gracies Icon Award. The November 16 New York luncheon will also give TikTok’s Zenia Mucha the Vanguard Award.

AWM will present Storm with the Gracies Icon Award at the Gracies Leadership Awards on Monday, November 16, at Tribeca 360° in New York City. The award honors a woman whose influence has left a lasting mark on media and expanded what is possible for the women who follow.

Storm has been a SportsCenter anchor at ESPN since 2008. Her work there has included NFL Live, NBA Today, NBA Countdown, and WNBA Countdown, along with events such as Wimbledon, the US Open, the NBA Finals, and the Rose Parade on ABC. Her career also includes roles at NBC Sports, CNN, and CBS News.

Behind the camera, she founded Brainstormin’ Productions in 2008, which has produced and directed projects including Unmatched for ESPN’s 30 for 30 series. A multiple Gracie Award recipient, Storm was inducted into the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences Silver Circle in 2026 and received the Pat Summerall Award in 2025.

The Gracies Leadership Awards will also recognize Premiere Networks President Julie Talbott, along with Kristen Welch, Chief Financial and Operations Officer at Illustrative Mathematics, with the AWM Legacy Leadership Award. Also recognized are Marilu Galvez, General Manager of ABC Owned Television Stations; Tina Perry, President of OWN TV Network and OTT Streaming; and Erin Underhill, President of Universal Television.

Proceeds from the event support the AWM Foundation’s scholarships, mentorship, and professional development programming. The luncheon will also welcome AWM Foundation Student Fellows and the 2026 AWM Foundation/NCTA Scholarship recipient.

Event information and tickets are available online.

AWM/F President Becky Brooks said, “Hannah Storm has set a standard for journalistic excellence while helping redefine what leadership looks like in sports media. Her groundbreaking career has earned the trust of audiences and opened doors for generations of women who see new possibilities because of those who came before them. Just as importantly, her commitment to mentorship ensures that impact continues. We are proud to recognize Hannah with the Gracies Icon Award and celebrate the lasting influence she has had on our industry.”
