Wall Street, live sports, and the creator economy share the marquee as NAB Show New York opens its doors this morning at the Javits Center in Manhattan, with radio carving out its own space inside a business-first program and awards sales excellence.
More than 40 show floor sessions and 60-plus additional educational sessions examine media investment, sports economics, audience growth, emerging revenue models, and applied AI.
Day one centers on media business decisions, with Radio Ink’s 34th Radio Wayne Awards opening the show at 10:15a ET in Theater C followed by Marconi podcast nominees discussing what makes radio successful in the on-demand audio space. Jessica Reif Ehrlich, J.P. Morgan media and communications executive Eric Menell, and investment executive Aaron Sobel will examine consolidation and the battle for scale in a discussion moderated by journalist Alex Sherman.
Sports sessions feature FanDuel President Christian Genetski, New York Islanders Co-Owner Jon Ledecky, and Clay Travis in conversation with NAB President and CEO Curtis LeGeyt.
Day two, Thursday, turns to creators, streaming, and applied AI. Entrepreneur Michael Kassan, media executive Jarret Myer, and Love Island USA personality Chelley Bissainthe will examine how creators turn audiences and original intellectual property into lasting business value. Other sessions feature NASA+ General Manager Rebecca Sirmons on the future of streaming and technology leaders on practical newsroom AI.
The Career Fair runs both show days.
NAB EVP of Global Connections and Events Karen Chupka stated, “Sometimes the most valuable industry opportunities are right in your own backyard. We want people to leave with more than a view of what’s changing. They should understand where businesses are finding growth, which technologies can help them work smarter, and who they need to connect with to move forward.”
