Morning drive at 101.1 WCBS-FM has its next voices. Two weeks after Race Taylor left the chair, Audacy’s New York Classic Hits station is pairing a multi-market host with a former Boston morning-show talent for The Morning Show with Trey and Loren Raye.
Trey Morgan’s career began at 95.1 The Beat in Melbourne, FL, and led to roles at KC101 (WKCI) in New Haven and Kiss 108 (WXKS) in Boston. His resume also includes Z100 (WHTZ) and Audacy’s NEW 102.7 (WNEW) in New York City, ALT 98.7 (KYSR) in Los Angeles, 99.5 The Wolf (KPLX) in Dallas, and Audacy’s BIG 98.1 (WOGL) in Philadelphia, which he joined for afternoons in 2022.
Loren Raye began her radio career in New York on Z100 (WHTZ) with Elvis Duran and the Morning Show. She then co-hosted The TJ Show on Audacy’s 103.3 AMP Radio (WODS) in Boston. The run earned her two Gracie Awards for Outstanding Morning Drive Personality.
Morning drive at WCBS opened up in September, when Race Taylor told listeners he was leaving the wake-up shift. He had moved from middays to mornings in June 2025.
WCBS-FM Brand Manager John Foxx stated, “Trey and Loren love radio. They love connecting with people, and each brings a very different take on life to the microphone. Put those personalities in a room, and you’ve got the makings of great conversations and something worth turning up. I’m excited for our listeners to get to know them and find a little of themselves in the show every morning.”
Morgan noted, “There are very few opportunities in radio that feel this special. WCBS-FM has an incredible history and a unique relationship with New York, and I’m grateful for the chance to build this show with Loren Raye. I’ve been fortunate to have learned from great mentors and am excited to continue learning from John Foxx, Jim Ryan, and Chris Oliviero. My goal is to make a show Loren and I are proud of, have a lot of fun and earn our place in people’s mornings.”
Raye commented, “As a born and raised Jersey girl, I could not be more excited to launch this new morning show alongside my friend Trey on the legendary WCBS-FM. I’m so grateful to John Foxx, Jim Ryan, Chris Oliviero, Jeff Sottolano, and Heather Cohen for believing in me and making my dreams come true. Let’s get to work!”
