Hope Media Group is giving two of its Christian radio brands a presence on the FM band in Southwest Florida. Vida Unida, the company’s Spanish-language ministry, and Worship 24/7 are moving from HD subchannels onto their own signals in the Fort Myers market.
Vida Unida will air on 90.5 FM, while Worship 24/7 will carry on 107.9 FM, via FM translators. Both networks have previously been available in the market only through the HD2 and HD3 channels of WAYJ, WayFM’s flagship station founded by Bob Augsburg in 1987.
Hope Media Group President and CEO Joe Paulo said, “This is a very special market for us because WayFM’s genesis was here. How appropriate that even after nearly 40 years, we have the privilege of not only continuing to reach people through WayFM, but that we can also expand the impact with worship and Spanish-language formats now.”
