Nearly a half-century in Pennsylvania radio will earn Jim Loftus a spot in the PAB’s Radio Hall of Fame on April 10, where John Wilsbach will also be recognized as Radio Broadcaster of the Year at the 2026 Awards for Excellence in Broadcasting.
Recently retired from the CEO role at Times-Shamrock Communications, Loftus’s career also spans the COO position of Seven Mountains Media, more than a decade as Vice President at CBS Radio, and serving as President and CEO of Philadelphia’s B101 (WBEB). He was also recognized as one of Radio Ink‘s Top 20 Leaders in Radio in 2025.
Wilsbach’s roots in Pennsylvania radio run nearly as deep. After early work at WOYK in York and various stations covering local sports, he is now heard on eight stations across Central Pennsylvania for his traffic reports. He also continues to produce the Middletown Area School District’s WMSS radio show, mentoring the next generation of broadcasters.
The ceremony at the Sheraton Harrisburg Hershey Hotel will also recognize FOX29 Philadelphia co-host Alex Holley as Television Broadcaster of the Year and induct WPVI-TV’s Bernie Prazenica into the TV Hall of Fame. The evening honors 74 award winners across 20 categories, drawn from 403 entries.
PAB President Joe Conti commented, “2026 is bringing another year of exceptional awards and honorees for this year’s PAB broadcasting awards. This annual event helps to give recognition to our members for their powerful and impactful work within Pennsylvania. We couldn’t be more excited to honor our 74 awardees, as well as our broadcaster of the year and hall of fame inductees. We are honored to continue this event, highlighting the spectacular work within the broadcasting community in Pennsylvania.”
