Former Radio Ink Editor-in-Chief Ed Ryan is being honored by SUNY Brockport, as the university’s college radio station prepares to induct him into the WBSU Hall of Fame. Ryan is one of six making up this year’s class of notable WBSU alumni and contributors.

Ryan, SUNY Brockport Class of 1988, enters the Hall alongside Wendy DeSimone Price, Class of 1993, who currently serves as Director of Sales at Press Communications LLC and was named one of Radio Ink’s Best Managers in Radio for 2022. She previously managed live events and non-traditional revenue initiatives for Townsquare Media and Millennium Radio Group.

The class includes another trade journalist, Paul Heine, who will also be inducted. Heine’s career includes roles at Radio & Records, Billboard Magazine, Inside Radio, and FMQB.

Lloyd Trufelman, whose career includes executive roles at WNYC Public Radio, the Cabletelevision Advertising Bureau, MTV Networks, and the media communications firm Trylon SMR, where he later served as president, joins the class alongside Jason Wentworth, Class of 1998, who has spent 26 years as Program Director and Morning Show Host at KCOW/KAAQ/KQSK in Alliance, NE, earning multiple Nebraska State Broadcasting awards.

Rounding out the inductees is Dean King, WBSU’s Chief Engineer for more than three decades.

The induction ceremony will take place on April 18, 2026, in the New York Room in Cooper Hall.
