Days after making significant lineup changes in the cluster, Saga Communications’ Columbus Radio Group has debuted new morning shows for Sunny 95 (WSNY) and Mix 107.9 (WVMX), including the return of a familiar voice to the city’s airwaves.
Columbus radio veteran Randi Rasar and newcomer DJ Rice are teaming up to host Randi and Rice in the Morning on Sunny 95. Rasar co-hosted Loper and Randi in the Morning with Jeremy Loper for a decade on North American Broadcasting Company’s 99.7 The Blitz (WRKZ) until 2022. DJ Rice moves to Columbus from a sister station in Portland, ME.
Rasar commented, “We’re gonna shake things up and work to make everyone’s morning brighter! I’m so glad Sunny 95 picked me to liven up your morning commute!”
DJ Rice added, “I can’t wait to wake up Columbus every weekday with my new friend, Randi! Thanks to the entire Columbus team for the opportunity to live my dream.”
Concurrently, Mix 107.9 is welcoming Gordon “Gordo” Hultengren to its morning lineup. Coming from South Bend, IN, after a stint at Artistic Media Partners’ WNDV, Gordo says, “I’m excited to be in a city with so much going on, with incredibly friendly people, and home to THE Ohio State Buckeyes! I am so grateful for this opportunity to be on the air working with this team!”
