US Speaker of the House Mike Johnson will be on hand to help Salem Media Group debut its latest news radio venture, This Week On The Hill, on April 13. The weekly political discussion show will broadcast across the Salem Radio Network and Salem News Channel.
It will be distributed via the SRN Satellite channel on Saturday mornings, as well as being offered digitally and on-demand on the Salem Podcast Network.
Family Research Council President Tony Perkins will host This Week On The Hill. Perkins is a former member of the Louisiana House of Representatives and served as chairman of the US Commission for International Religious Freedom during the Trump administration. Tom Tradup joins as Executive Producer.
House Speaker Johnson said, “This opportunity to engage in informative discussions will provide listeners with a better understanding of politics, policy, and culture in these historic times.”
Salem Senior VP Phil Boyce commented Perkins will, “Be an excellent host, as the show deals with the important topics facing the Members of the House and Senate.”
Perkins added, “I look forward to kicking off this new program with Speaker Johnson as my first guest. I plan to engage Speaker Johnson in candid conversations that will take listeners beyond the headlines and soundbites and inform them about what is really happening in our country.”
