Scott Donovan Leaves The Eagle’s Nest, Retires On Anniversary

After 40 years in radio, Eagle Communications Marketing Representative and former morning show host Scott Donovan is retiring. Donovan has spent the last 20 of those years with Eagle in Great Bend, KS.

Donovan began his journey in the industry as a nighttime personality on KHOK in July 1983, and concluded his on-air tenure as the morning show host on KHOK in July 2022. During his career, Donovan witnessed the station’s transition to 100.7 Eagle Country in 1994.

As an Eagle Employee Owner, Donovan’s contributions have been recognized by the Kansas Association of Broadcasters 28 times, earning awards for radio production, programs, and promotions. His leadership roles have included serving as the Chairman of the KAB in 2002 and as President of the KAB Foundation Board.

From 2005 to 2023, he was celebrated as the Great Bend Market Leader in radio sales for Eagle Communications.

Reflecting on his career, Donovan said, “Building relationships with people and helping businesses grow is the key to success in sales. ‘Local and Live’ were my 2 favorite words in this industry.”
