Seasoned programmer Jay Michaels is joining Austin, TX’s Recharge Media as the new Brand Manager of 96.3 Jack FM (KJFK AM/FM). Michaels’ most recent role was at Austin’s Waterloo Media, where he served as PD for KGSR, ACL Radio, and KBBQ.
He has previous experience programming a Jack format from a PD role at then-CBS Radio Dallas. Michaels has also worked for iHeartMedia, Cumulus, and Emmis Communications in Dallas, Houston, and Austin, respectively, and has been recognized as one of Radio Ink‘s Best PDs in America.
KJFK is a locally-programmed offshoot of Recharge Media’s solar-powered Sun Radio network launched in 2022.
